These three collage assemblages are derived from stories in the Hebrew Bible which contain an inherent or inferred reference to color. A highly simplified geometric design was used to give contemporary form to the idea. Each piece contains the literal words of the Biblical narrative, mysteriously veiled by creating an overall pattern from the compacted writing.

A masonite plate textured with the Hebrew words was created, inked and the run through an etching press to produce the individual paper sections. Then the pieces were separately adhered within the graphite line or grid on the surface of the richly deckeled paper.
